PROJECT DISCRIPTION

The Norsk Skogfinsk museum was established 2005 at Finnskog in Hedmark for the documentation of the culture and history of the minority of finnish people who emigrates to Norway in the 16th century.

The new building should represent the live from 1600 until today an display the tradition and building technics.

The Idea was to form three buildings - cafe, museum and auditorium - with an open area in the middle.

The central open area will be used as an meeting point for visitors and employees.

There will be directly access to a large outdoor terrace beside the river.

The buildungs will be crafted like traditional blockhouses shaped in a modern form.
